WCCUSD Response to Grand Jury to Be Discussed at Wednesday CBOC

Ever since the County Grand Jury report on all citizen bond oversight committees in the county, “School Bond Oversight – Raising the Bar,” was released in May, I’ve been waiting for the response from the district. At the August 15th joint CBOC/BOE meeting, staff was unprepared even though it was the main item for the agenda and the dead-line was looming. At the CBOC meeting today, staff is sharing it’s reply for discussion.

It was the usual litany of “we are the greatest.” Staff didn’t seem too do much checking or reflection on anything. In the report (which they had sent on August 30th), they just deny everything. I was able to catch them in a specific untruth about the annual reports from CBOC. We never did a 2011, but the report from the district says we’re perfect in this area.

I’ll discuss the grand jury report in more detail in a future post.

  3. I am sorry I missed this meeting. I eagerly await a report.
