It’s Already WCCUSD School Board Election Time

The primaries are over. On November 8th the general election will come. Two seats are up at that time on the WCCUSD school board, two seats currently held by Randy Enos and Todd Groves who have both served a single term.

July 18th is the first day for potential candidates to file. The filing period ends on August 12th unless one of the incumbents doesn’t run. In this case it’s extended to August 17th.

There are two more key dates before the official election dates. First, around September 29th, the sample ballots start mailing out. Then, on October 10th, the vote-by-mail ballots start mailing out, so October 11th is the first day someone can cast a vote. To me, this is the beginning of the election period, which culminates on election day, November 8th.

  1. Are there other specific issues that you think need to be addressed in the school board election, Giorgio?

  2. Trustee Cuevas said she supports district/ward elections. Maybe now is the time to lobby for this.
